To help Research Centers with their daily management, we have created resources for navigating financial, HR, and operational processes at the University of Chicago.
The Resources webpage provides procedures and operations guides on GEMS, Oracle, and Internal Awards. We have also developed a suite of hiring resource guides for students, visiting scholars, and non-degree visiting students, as well as a guide for onboarding and offboarding.
We are pleased to offer our centers opt-in strategic planning and positioning services.
In the first session, we will evaluate the current center priorities and lay groundwork for understanding the center priorities, providing data we can use to discuss the center goals. In the second session, we will focus on positioning and ways to target communications towards shareholders. The third session will bring together positioning and vision statement to the first two plans to formalize the strategic communication plans for the center, including a strategic high-level vision statement. After completing this strategic work, the centers will be well-positioned to communicate their important missions and unique contributions to a wide audience from funders and donors to partners and collaborators.
